Their Cups are Full

This weekend was particularly special. We rested. Ha! Not only did we rest, though, but Chase got some great one-on-one date time with both Evan and Emily. On Saturday morning, Chase and Emily went out for a breakfast date. What amazes me most about Chase is that he planned this date completely on his own. He took Em out to La Madeleine where he said Emily ate so much he couldn't believe it! She hasn't been a huge eater recently. Maybe it's my cooking! :-) Because this little girl ate like it was going out of style on her date with her daddy. Chase then took her to Charming Charlies and bought her some jewelry. Can you believe it!?! The man knows women! And then he and Miss Em went to get frozen yogurt before heading home. Emily walked into the door all smiles with about twenty sparkly bracelets up and down one arm and a thick turquoise necklace draped around her neck. She was beyond thrilled!

While Em and Chase were out, Evan, Olivia and I got some GREAT time together! Olivia went down for a nap for a while and Evan and I got in bed and watched cartoons together. He absolutely loves to watch t.v. in our room and this rarely happens. Evan was so calm and happy. We'd had a rather rough week, so this was especially special for me to have some quality time with him. While Olivia was awake, we all just hung out and played and ate lunch. Olivia is generally happy anywhere, anytime, and this proved true yesterday as well. There will come a time when she joins in on the one-on-one dates but she still is just a little too young. She can't wait to be a big girl. But, she's not quite there yet!

I will write more later on Chase's "date" with Ev. This, too, was memorable and special.
